Have you ever pictured the best version of yourself and wondered what it would actually feel like to be her?
Maybe you’ve pictured the life she’s created. You can see the career she loves, the relationships she has, the confidence she carries, or simply the sense of inner peace that she has found. When we imagine our future self, it is easy to focus on everything around her that looks different.
But lately, I’ve been thinking less about what she has and more about who she had to become to create that life.
What does she believe about herself? What stories does she tell herself when something doesn’t go the way she thought? How does she feel when she wakes up in the morning? what expectations does she put on herself, from other people, and from the life ahead of her?
Because being the best version of yourself isn’t only about reaching your goals. It’s also about becoming someone who can feel it home in the life they created.
And you don’t necessarily have to wait until everything changes around you to begin becoming her. You can start practicing her beliefs, rewriting the stories that longer serve you, and becoming familiar with the feeling you want your dream life to hold.
That’s where affirmations can become so much more than positive words repeat to yourself every morning. They can become a way of practicing Who You Are becoming.
What Does the Best Version of Yourself Look Like?
Take a moment and imagine the future version of yourself.
Maybe it’s a year from now. and maybe it’s 5 years from now. The timeline isn’t as important as allowing yourself to imagine what your life could look like if you continue to grow into the person you know you can become.
At first, it’s normal to notice the external things. where you live, your career, your appearance, and who you choose to surround yourself with.
But I want to challenge you to look beyond those things.
Try looking at her.
How does she carry herself when she walks into a room? What is her response when something doesn’t go according to plan? How does she speak to herself after making a mistake?
What doesn’t consume her anymore?
This is one of my favorite ways to think about becoming your future self because it takes the focus away from constantly trying to acquire something outside of yourself.
Instead, you begin to understand the identity underneath the life you want.
If you want to go even deeper into meeting this version of yourself, I recently shared a practice for creating a quantum leap in your life by exploring who your future self is, what she believes, and how she feels.
This doesn’t mean pretending you’re someone you’re not. It means recognizing that personal growth isn’t only about changing your circumstances. Sometimes, it requires an identity shift too.
And that identity begins with the things you believe.
What Does She Believe About Herself?
I’m sure you heard this before but your beliefs shape the way you experience your life.
Let me give you an example. If you believe you aren’t capable, you might hesitate before opportunities you are actually ready for. Or you could believe love always ends and disappointment, you might struggle to feel safe when someone treats you well. If you believe success has to involve consistent struggle, ease might actually make you feel uncomfortable.
This is why self-concept matters when you’re trying to become a better version of yourself.
Your self concept is essentially the collection of beliefs and ideas you hold about who you are. and sometimes, becoming your best self requires questioning whether the beliefs you’ve carried so far still belong to the person you’re becoming.
The thoughts you repeatedly return to can slowly shape the way you see yourself, which is why I love using manifestation affirmations to rewrite subconscious beliefs as part of this work.
Ask yourself what your higher self believes.
- Does she believe she has to prove her worth to everyone around her?
- Or does she know her worth exists whether someone recognizes it or not?
- Does she believe one setback means everything is falling apart?
- Or does she trust herself enough to know she can figure out what comes next?
- Does she believe the things she wants are reserved for other people?
- Or has she allowed herself to believe that a beautiful life can belong to her too?
The answers to these questions are the kinds of beliefs we want our future self affirmations to reinforce.
Affirmations for What She Believes
- I am capable of creating a life that genuinely feels like mine.
- I trust myself to make decisions that support the woman I am becoming.
- I believe there are possibilities available to me that I cannot see yet.
- I am worthy of love, success, peace, and abundance without having to prove myself first.
- I believe my life can continue changing in beautiful and unexpected ways.
- I trust that I can handle whatever comes next.
- I am allowed to outgrow beliefs that once kept me safe but now keep me small.
- I believe I have everything within me to continue becoming my best self.
- I am open to seeing myself differently than I have in the past.
If affirmations are already part of your routine, you can also explore these positive affirmations for more reminders to support the way you speak to yourself each day.
I believe I am worthy of the life I am working toward.
These kinds of self concept affirmations aren’t about forcing yourself to believe something that feels completely disconnected from your reality. Think of them as invitations to practice a different relationship with yourself.
You are creating space for a new belief to become possible.
What Stories Does She Tell Herself?
Beliefs are only part of our inner world.
We are also consistently telling ourselves stories about what happens to us.
Developing greater self-awareness can help you notice these automatic thoughts before accepting them as truth.
Just imagine you apply for an opportunity you really want and you don’t get it. The event itself is simply that you didn’t get that particular opportunity. But your mind can create an entire story around it.
Such as:
I’m not good enough.
Nothing ever works out for me.
I’m falling behind.
Maybe I’m never going to get where I want to go.
That story can hurt much more than the event itself.
Now imagine how the best version of yourself might experience the same disappointment.
She allows herself to be upset. However, becoming your highest self doesn’t mean becoming emotionless or forcing yourself into a positive mindset every second of the day.
But her story sounds different. It might sound like:
I’m disappointed, but this doesn’t define what I’m capable of.
Maybe this wasn’t the opportunity for me.
I don’t know what comes next yet, but I trust myself to keep moving.
This is an entirely different internal experience. One of the most powerful parts of personal development is realizing that you don’t have to believe every story your mind tells you. You have the power to write new ones.
Sometimes the stories we tell ourselves become especially loud when something activates an old wound. Learning to understand your emotional triggers can help you recognize what is actually happening underneath the reaction.
Affirmations for the Stories She Tells Herself
- Things have a way of working out for me, even when they don’t happen the way I expected.
- One moment does not determine the direction of my entire life.
- I don’t need to understand every step to trust where I am going.
- There is more ahead of me than what I can see right now.
- I am not behind. I am living a life that has its own timing.
- Every experience is teaching me more about myself and what I want.
- A closed door doesn’t mean there are no more doors available to me.
- I can be disappointed and still believe something beautiful is ahead.
- My past does not get to decide what I believe is possible for my future.
- I trust the story of my life even while I am still living in the middle of it.
These are some of my favorite kinds of positive affirmations because they don’t require you to deny what you’re experiencing.
They simply remind you that there may be another way to interpret it.

How Does She Feel in the Life You Want?
Now we’re at the park that I think is often overlooked when we talk about manifesting your dream life.
How does it actually feel to live it?
Not how it looks from the outside. But how does it feel inside of you?
Maybe your future self feels peaceful. secure. loved. free. grounded. supported. abundant. Confident
Maybe she isn’t constantly waiting for something to go wrong.
Maybe she trusts herself.
And I think sometimes it’s important to remind yourself that your dream life might feel much more normal than you imagined.
Let’s just say you desire financial abundance, your future self probably isn’t waking up every morning shocked that she has money. Financial Security might simply feel safe.
If you desire healthy love, you might not spend every day over Mom by the fact that somebody loves you. love might feel consistent and secure.
Success might not feel like you consistently proving you’ve made it. It might feel like quietly knowing you’re capable.
Confidence might not feel loud. I might feel like no longer needing everyone else to validate you.
And inner peace might simply feel like finally being able to exist without constantly fighting yourself.
That’s why I love thinking about future self visualizations this way. Instead of only picturing the things around her, you begin imagining what it feels like to live inside her world.
Affirmations for How She Feels

These can become powerful daily affirmations because they aren’t only focused on getting something.
They are helping you become familiar with how you want your life to feel.
Dream Life Affirmations to Help You Become Her
Once you understand her beliefs, her stories, and her feelings, your affirmations can begin bringing all three together.
This is where manifestation affirmations, dream life affirmations, and even higher self affirmations can become less about wishing for a different life and more about intentionally connecting with the person you want to be.
Feel free to read through this slowly. You don’t need to use everyone. Notice which ones make you stop for a second because something about them feels like her.

How to Use Affirmations to Become Your Future Self
See you don’t need to repeat 50 affirmations every morning for them to mean something to you. In fact, I’d rather choose a few that generally connect with the person you’re trying to become than mindlessly repeat an entire list.
Start by thinking about the future version of yourself you imagined earlier.
Ask yourself: what does she believe?
Maybe she believes she is capable. Maybe she believes there is enough for her. Or maybe she believes she doesn’t have to chase love or prove her worth.
Then ask: What stories does she tell herself?
How does she interpret setbacks? What does she tell herself when she’s scared? What story does she have about money, success, relationships, or her future?
Finally, ask: How does she feel?
Safe? Free? Peaceful? Confident? Loved? Abundant?
Answers are meant to be your own personalized Future Self affirmations.
If your future self believes she can handle uncertainty, your affirmation might be:
I trust myself even when I don’t know exactly what comes next.
If she tells herself that rejection can be redirection:
What leaves my life can create space for something that fits me better.
If she feels financially secure:
I am becoming more comfortable feeling safe and confident with money.
This is also why I don’t think an affirmation has to be an enormous leap from what you currently believe.
If “I am completely abundant and everything I want is already mine” makes something inside you immediately respond with no it’s not, you can create a bridge instead.
I am becoming open to the possibility that more is available to me.
I’m learning to trust myself with success.
I am allowing myself to believe that my life can change.
You don’t have to bully yourself into a new self concept.
You can grow into it.
And eventually, the thoughts that once felt unfamiliar can start becoming part of the natural way you speak to yourself.
You Become Her Before Everything Changes
There’s something so beautiful about realizing that the best version of yourself doesn’t begin the day everything falls into place.
You don’t have to wait for the career, relationship, success, confidence, dream body, or lifestyle before you start becoming the woman you imagine living that life you want.
You can start noticing your limiting beliefs now and start questioning the subconscious beliefs you’ve carried for years. And you can rewrite the stories that automatically tell yourself everything is going wrong.
Practicing intentional living is one way to bring this future version of yourself into the choices you’re making today instead of waiting for your dream life to arrive first.
That is what inviting your future self can look like in real life. It’s not about pretending, ignoring difficult emotions, and it isn’t trying to convince yourself that your current circumstances are something they’re not.
It is simply asking:
If I am becoming her, how do I want to meet this moment?
And then practicing that answer.
Final Thoughts
The best version of yourself isn’t a completely different woman waiting somewhere in the future.
She is you.
She simply released some of the beliefs that kept her small. learn to tell herself Kinder more empowering stories. has become more comfortable feeling peace, love, confidence, and abundance she once thought she had to chase.
And you don’t have to transform into her overnight.
Let your personal growth happen gradually. Choose one belief you want to practice. one story you’re ready to rewrite. one feeling you want to become more comfortable experiencing.
Then choose an affirmation that brings you back to it.
Because becoming your future self isn’t only about creating a different life. Sometimes, it begins with changing the way you experience the life you’re living now.
I hope this helps you on your journey like it did mine!
